Oh how i LOVE a great deal!!!!

Alright, I have been dying to get a Kitchen Aid mixer for a long time but couldn't bring myself to spend the moola. I decided to get one this year on black friday. My day started at 4am at Sears for their door buster mixer for $149.99. I also bought the one for $199.99 because I couldn't decide which one was better and wanted to get home and open them up. The door buster was totally a bust!!! And I didn't feel like I got a great deal on the $199 one so after Boston woke up we went to the mall.
We looked at all the department stores then ended up at Kohls. Let me break down this amazing deal for ya... like I said, i LOVE a great deal!!!

$299.99.. original price
$259.99.. sale price
$199.99.. early bird special
$169.99.. early bird 15% off ($30)
$143.51.. a 15% coupon you get in the mail that the cashier had lying around and after I asked her she let me use it!
$123.51.. $20 mail in rebate
After all of that Kohl's gave us $30 in Kohl's cash which is basically a gift card to be used later so I count that as taking money off the price so...

GRAND TOTAL FOR A $300 MIXER= $93.51!!!!!! Totally blog worthy! :)

We also got a couple of sturdy shelving units for food storage and a Rigid wet/dry vac from Home Depot. Not super fun stuff but we needed it :)

Total price for a $110 wet/dry vac, 2 $40 shelving units, and a $300 mixer? $210 buckaroos!

This is the most excited I've felt about the deals we got on Black Friday since the year Rob and I camped out in Utah for a TV...Never camp out in Utah! We froze! ha ha Hope ya'll got some good stuff today! :)

Sleepy boy

Today we had Stake Conference. Boston was so tired after that he passed out the second we put him in the car. Also notice what a big boy he is now? We turned his seat forward yesterday... he loves it!

Oh my precious boy!

And how I love Stake Conference! No morning or afternoon meetings for Rob which meant he was home to help in the morning{and cook breakfast!}and we got to drive to church together :)

the good and the bad

the good:
Boston is officially on dairy now and doing great!!! Yay no more allergy!! And he loves cheese!

the bad:
The poor little guy is constipated like no other! It happened back when we switched him to formula from breast milk but hopefully this time his little system can adjust more quickly. I have been loading him up with prunes and other "move it along" things but no go... Today he woke up screaming from his nap red-faced trying to go but couldn't. I have never heard such a sad cry :( Luckily I had some glycerin suppositories on hand for him and he seems to be doing better. Thank you whoever wrote that "must have baby supplies" list I read when preggo!

Last Wednesday was a kind of a rough day.
Rob and I were both under a lot of stress. He had to send out the billing for the biz which is always a very stressful and time consuming process. Add that on top of the constant stress from his calling and school and he wasn't a very happy camper.

I on the other hand was sweet as can be :) ha ha ya right! I decided to refinish our table which has been fun but stressful at the same time. It's the first time I've attempted a big project like this and I'm a perfectionist. So I was a big on edge with things not going perfectly with the table {it looks great by the way!} and our house was messy from everything going on and I can not function in a messy house! Add Boston on top of it all and there ya go :)

When Rob went to YM I cleaned up the house from the days messy activities, started our very late dinner, and jumped in a hot bath to unwind just as Rob was getting home. He came walking in the bathroom with 2 dozen red roses. I feel bad that my first reaction was "Oh crap how much did he spend on those?" ha ha He gave them to me and told me he was sorry for being snippy and that he got me red roses because he loves me very much. Then he laid them down and said he was going to get something to put them in but instead came back with 2 dozen yellow roses and told me that these were for me because I'm his best friend. And when he came back a third time he told me he got me 2 dozen pink roses because I'm beautiful :) {apparently that's the meaning behind the colors}

It was a very sweet and romantic gesture. He's such a great guy and I'm grateful to have him as my best friend and hubby! I love you sweetie! Even when we have bad days :)

blink blink

Boston learned how to blink this week! It's probably the cutest thing I've seen him do yet!
He gets this huge smile on his face then squeezes those beautiful blues shut as tight as they go for 3 seconds. Then he looks at up at me to see if I'll copy him. I do and on and on we go! Is there anything better than being a mom?
I don't think so!!! :)
Here are some other cute pics from the past few weeks. They're from my camera phone so sorry some are a bit blurry
Nice tooth shot! He has eight now- 4 on top and 4 on bottom.
This is the only way that he will eat his bottle by himself. It took him 11 1/2 months to finally give in and hold it himself. That was a good day!
He's like his daddy in that he always needs to have his feet up on something :)
Hmmm...
Boston loves to suck on his toes...not normal ha ha
This is from our St. George trip. I love his hair in this one.. sunscreen is a great pomade!
They had a park at the condo we stayed in so we went there every night for some swingin' and slidin'! Boston loved the slide! It had a bump in the middle that Boston caught some air on.
This is my fam in the picture. Can you tell that their world revolves around my little guy? He's the first grandbaby and the first boy in the Lamoreaux fam so he's quite the celebrity! I love it! There is no doubt that this boy is loved!!

I can explain!!!

Rob and I went on another date the night before my sister left town. Call me crazy but I have always wanted to go to the wax museum here in town so my hubby took me there. It was fun! I can't believe how small stars are! At 5'11 I towered over the women and was taller than most the men or super close!
Except for Bond, he's pretty tall :)
Dude, Shaq is huge!
Me and George got married!!! They had a wedding gown and bouquet set up in a little wedding chapel. I couldn't resist! I think I'll keep my first guy tho :)
Evil Kanevil
Towards the end of the tour they have a live actor haunted house. Basically you weave through this maze that has tons of wax figures but some are actors that jump out at you.
Well, I'm a total fraidey cat and they picked up on that real quick! No one tried to scare anyone else but me. One guy even followed us and kept blowing in my hair. I'm still wigged out by it. The poor guy in front of me is probably deaf now from my screaming.
Good Ol' Abe
So Rob is almost 6'5 so I'm guessing Obama is 6'4ish. How monstro is the Michele then?! She's almost Obama's height when she wears the mini heels!!!
It was a great night! Afterwards we went to Lucille's BBQ which was delicious as usual :) It's so much fun to get out with Rob and spend some husband-wife time. We only get out when my family comes to town per their insistence so thank you Aunt Coco for being such a great aunt and watching our little bugger for us!!! We love you!

Halloween...Sorry so late

This year our garage turned into a Clown Cemetery... I guess Rob was so scared by my earlier prank (see video on Oct 14 post) that he wanted to pass it along :)
Halloween isn't my thing and scaring people (with the exception of Rob) isn't my thing either. This year I decided to try and get into the spirit of things and help Rob with his haunted house. I didn't even last through one person! ha ha Plus who would be scared by my mask?
We had the fog machine going. You couldn't see Rob until he was right up in your face!
Boston and Aunt Coco. I love his chubby finger in this one!
This year I handed out glow-in-the-dark bracelets. Boston had a blast helping me put them together. I turned out the lights once they were glowing ...I've never seen him get so excited!
We decided to give Cole a glow-in-the-dark nose ring lol
My Monkey
He ate a piece of grass and it spot-welded itself onto his tongue hence the face ha ha
