Baby Jesus

Meet Baby Jesus..

Baby Jesus came in a cute nativity set that my Mom bought for Boston last year and if you remember from last year, Boston hid and shoved Baby Jesus in just about every nook and cranny that you could think of {including the bathroom sink drain!}. We had some talks about respecting Baby Jesus and so I thought this year might be better.

I was wrong.

The second I brought Baby Jesus out the sacrilege began.. Rob was getting VERY frustrated doing the billing for the business one night because his printer wasn't working. After a few hours full of huffs and puffs I heard cackling coming from the office. Can you guess who had been shoved so far into the printer that Rob had to dismantle it to find him? You guessed it... Baby Jesus!

So after his bath we gave Boston Baby Jesus back. He gets so excited when we give him back. It's become quite the game to see how long it takes Mommy and Daddy to find Baby Jesus.

The kid can't help himself! I had just given Baby Jesus back two seconds prior and Boston is already trying to shove Baby Jesus behind the dresser! And I'm not buying the "I'm not doing anything" face buddy!

So now Baby Jesus has gone missing again and I'm on the hunt. I'll keep ya posted..

Ice Temple?

Yesterday Boston and I cuddled up to watch Frosty Returns. When Boston saw this ice castle that Frosty hides in..
he pointed and yelled, "Temple!!" Not quite my sweet boy.. but oh so precious!

Just a few things

Here are a few cute things Boston did today that I don't want to forget..

1. We flew in from Houston last night so this morning he was still on Houston time and woke up bright and early at 5 AM!! (7am Houston time) The 5 am wake up is NOT cute at all but this is.. We brought him into bed with us and turned on Frosty the Snowman so we could catch more shut-eye. Boston didn't like that idea. After much climbing and wrestling with us to wake us up I felt a soft little hand on my cheek and heard a "Mama, stop seeping peaze" Super cute! I just love Boston's little voice! I tried my best to wake up but seriously 5am?
So I guess I shut my eyes again cuz then I felt two hands on my cheeks and heard "Mama, look at me." I opened my eyes and he said, "Stop seeping" ha ha Rob and I both cracked up because Boston, being the very energetic boy that he is, rarely stops to listen to me so sometimes I have to make him stop and ask him to "look at me" so he'll listen. I love when kids start using your tricks on you.

2. I went to grab Boston after church from Nursery today and when he saw me he said in the most tender tone, "Hi mama!!! Hi mama!" I scooped him up and he gave me a HUGE hug then grabbed my face and pulled my cheek in for a big kiss. TENDER!

3. Then tonight as I was telling Rob about the above Nursery story Boston piped in "I was happy to see you!" Rob and I looked at each other like... Did he just say that?... I love how much he is talking in sentences these days! We still see him as our little baby boy so it always catches us by surprise when he busts out a good one like this!

4. Last one! I told Boston before I put him down for a nap today that if he took a really good nap that tonight we could watch a movie and eat popcorn (pop). Boy did he! I had to go wake him up after 3 1/2 hours! Way to go kiddo! Anyways, I woke him up and he was fussy and grouchy then all of a sudden he got dead silent and looked at me and with a HUGE smile started chirping "Pop?! Pop?! Pop?! Watch a movie? Pop?!" I love that kids never forget a promise :)

silly boy

Sometimes Boston gets in funny moods and is such a ham! This particular day he was cracking me up big time! (don't mind the mess in the background.. this was the day after we moved home and everything was still everywhere!)

Roaring at me like a lion to "scare Mama"..

This is his scared face.. He tenses up and says "scared!"

The "mean mug"

"Hiding" I love how little kids think if they can't see you, then you can't see them!

Prayer

Just now as I was changing Boston's diaper he was chatting away as usual when he stopped, looked at me, and said, "Prayers". He then folded his arms, and said "Heavy Fauder... bess Boton. AMEN!" (Heavenly Father bless Boston)

His first prayer! I teared right up. It was so sweet and tender and just a reminder of how pure children are and what a blessing it is to have such an innocent presence in our homes. I know I say it all the time but I just love being a mom! It so much fun! And I won't lie, I'm feeling pretty good right now too because this shows I must be doing something right :)

To Infimamee and BEYONN!!

Tonight we went with Rob's brother to their ward "Trunk or Treat". Boston's costume isn't here yet so we had him wear one of Evan's old costumes. It was a little too big but Boston didn't mind, he LOVED being Buzz!!

Cute Cousins!!..Jaye, Boston, Evan, Wyatt

Boston kept throwing his hands up in the air and yelling "To Infimamee and BEYONNN!" and would take off runnin'

Realizing that if he said "treat" he got candy..

He got the system down really quick..

Ever the sweet pea he would say "Dae Doo" (thank you) and "Bye! See ya guys!" with a wave after each trunk

His favorite "treat"
When he saw a stick poking through the lady's fingers as she placed the candy in his bucket, he looked up at me and Rob with the BIGGEST smile on his face and screamed "SUCKER!!!!!!" The boy loves a good sucker...must be why he loves his grandparents so much ;) hee hee

Super Speedy Re-cap!

Just found my camera cord in the storage unit so I can post a few pics! Yay! It's been a crazy month and a half and here's a super speedy re-cap.. {more pics and details to come later}

Labor Day weekend we took Boston camping for the first time. We went with some friends and it was the first time camping for all the kids (minus Sammy) They all did great!

The kiddos.. Boston, Braxton, Ava, Sammy, Jonas

When we drove back into cell service range, we found out our garage had caught on fire that morning. Two words.. sucko mucho! Lost ALOT of our things and Rob's truck in the fire and the smoke damage killed even more but it could have be worse right? :) We were kept safe and our sentimental things (pictures, videos, things from our childhoods, etc.) are ok so we're very lucky! We're still homeless, living with Rob's brother in Summerlin, but hope to be back home within the next week or so!

Can you tell where the explosions (3 in all) came from? A bucket of leaves in the back of the truck.. who knew they could spontaneously combust? R.I.P. Toucan Truck.. we miss you!

After an exhausting two weeks of getting everything in order after the fire, we headed down to San Diego for a week at a beach house with my family. It was much needed and AMAZING! We spent the whole week playing at the beach, boogie boarding, going to Sea World, the San Diego zoo, and the Wild Animal Park. It was a blast!! I just love my fam so much!

The Lam fam.. Me, Boston, Rob, Shelby (just got engaged!!), Cole, Mom, Dad

We partied hard until the sun was gone everyday. This was a particularly BEAUTIFUL sunset!

Then last Saturday, Rob took the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) He lost about 3 weeks of study time right before the test thanks to the fire so we were pretty nervous for it but I think he did great :) He's such a smarty pants and we have been so incredibly blessed this last month and a half that I have no doubt he was helped on the test as well. He's signed up for the December LSAT as well so we aren't done with it quite yet but getting close!! We find out his score on Nov 1st so until then we'll be holding our breath.

And finally, today is our baby boy's birthday!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOSTON BUDDY!!! Can you believe he's 2 already?! I can't! I won't lie, I got choked up singing him Happy Birthday this morning just realizing how big he is now. It's been a great birthday especially since he's had 3 adoring cousins smothering him all day!

It's gonna be so sad when we move back home and he doesn't have his cousins around 24/7 anymore.. he has definitely loved being part of a pack :) So that's about it. Like I said.. TONS more pics of everything to come.
