Time to catch up!

Back in September we went to San Diego and stayed in a beach condo complete with a private beach with my fam for a week. It was a BLAST! There are SOOO many pics to post (and I'm leaving tons out!) so I'll do a different post for each day to kinda break it up. Here's Day 1 and 2 since there isn't too many from these days...enjoy!

Day 1 my family took off from Utah at 4 am and met up with Rob and I in Las Vegas then we carpooled down to San Diego. Since Boston was still up in Utah staying with my family from the whole fire fiasco the week earlier, he flew down to San Diego with Nicole to save him(more like us!) the drive. So it was just Rob and I on a 6 hour road trip. Heaven!

We saw this guy on the freeway. I'm pretty sure that's not safe

Driving thru San Diego!!

The beach house.. It was AMAZING! 3 bedroom, 3 bath right on the beach!

I so want a kitchen like this one day!

The view from the rooms upstairs

An hour after we got in to San Diego, Boston and Cole's plane landed so we went to go grab them and passed this beauty on the way! We got to pass it several times everyday I loved it!

I'm not really sure what we did the rest of that day. I think we went down to peek at the beach and swam in the pool at the condos and just hung out. Oh and Rib Night! What would a Lamoreaux family vacation be without plenty of tasty food?

Day 2.. BEACH DAY!! It was overcast this day and a little cold but we still had a blast! How handsome does Boston look in this wetsuit? The condo had a few wetsuits and this one was the smallest but way too big for B.

Rob, Boston, and Cole

I think the water is a bit chilly for my dad ha ha

Boston's first reaction.. so cute!

All of us watching Boston's reaction. Can you tell my whole family's world revovles around this little guy when he's around?

Our paparazi a.k.a. my mom. She's not much of a water person so she was on picture duty.

Rob, Boston, and my dad.

There was tons of digging and building!

Cole burried Boston

He's realizing he can wiggle his toes and get them out

We tried to warm him up by burrying him more

Yuck! Sand in the mouth!

Coco and Boston

During Boston's nap we went and bought full length wet suits since we all basically froze that morning. They didn't have them small enough for Boston so we rented this little guy to double layer. I love Boston's face! ha ha

After naps and fully prepared with warm gear we headed back down for more beach fun. Mommy and Boston boogie boarding.. I've got mad skills!

I'm not sure why we always take one of these pictures and I won't say which sister insists upon it every beach trip but here ya go, the token sisters-behind-boogie-boards picture

Me and Boston watching everyone else boogie board.

I told you I had mad skills..

Boston was shaking he was so cold but he kept asking, "Again?"

A near wipeout

Daddy coming in on a wave to catch us

Me, Boston, and my dad loved watching those birds fish. They would just swoop straight down into the water it was crazy

The poor thing finally got so cold he couldn't take it anymore and cuddled with grandpa while the rest of us finished boogie boarding.

Foot Tattoos

The other day me and Boss were sitting at the table while he was eating his lunch. I was writing out my grocery list and looked over to see his little foot chillin' up on top of the the table. If you know Boston you know he ALWAYS has to have his feet up on top of or pushing against something. Even when he was in my tummy he loved to have his tiny feet shoved up under my ribs.. fun for him, not for me! And it seriously cracked us up when he was born because since day 1 those gummy little toes of his have been everywhere! I love those little toes!

Anyways back to the other day.. when I looked over and saw that cute foot of his I reached over and gave it a tattoo. Boston got such a kick out of it I had to make a matching set. And yes that is Peanut Butter on the bottom of his foot... we're working on being a neater eater ;)

Who doesn't love a good foot tattoo?

Released

Rob got released on Sunday from being Young Men's President and to be really honest, I'm sad. This was definitely not the reaction I was expecting from myself! I thought I would be jumping up and down screaming for joy at having my hubby back but when Rob told me he was released, I cried. Now don't get me wrong.. once I realized that he would no longer be gone half of Sundays at meetings and would be around Wednesday nights I got excited but I'll miss that calling. I'll miss the boys. Rob misses them too. He loves those boys so much it's really hard for him to be done.

I'm very grateful for the blessings we have received the last few years. There are blessings and experiences that we have had that I know we would not have had the opportunity to receive if it weren't for Rob's service. I'm gonna miss the extra blessings :)

My testimony of service in church callings and the blessings that come from that service has grown significantly the past few years. I love having a calling! I love going to church each week with a "job" to do. It makes church so much more meaningful to me knowing that I am contributing to my ward each week. {I didn't quite have these same feelings when I was teaching the 5 year olds a few years back ;) } I love my current calling! I love the sisters of my ward. They are so wonderful and they inspire me to be a better person.

So it's kinda weird. A chapter of our life is over. It's actually funny timing because now with Rob done with all the studying for the LSAT and all our holiday traveling over and done with and now with him being released he's around so much! I don't know what to do with the guy!
I'm sure me and Boston can figure something out :)

Hey! Things have been super busy at the Hartshorn household and I have ALOT of updating to do. How did I get so far behind?!

Way back in Sept we went to a beach house with my fam in San Diego for a week and hit up the Zoo, Wild animal park, and Sea World, and lots of beach!! Boston had a birthday in October{the big #2!}, Rob took the LSAT, we went to Disneyland for B's birthday, moved back home, then it off to Houston for a week for Thanksgiving.

The beginning of December Rob took the LSAT again then it was off to Disneyland again to celebrate {we love Disneyland can you tell?} The next week we headed up to Utah for a 2 week Christmas visit. It was supposed to be a one week trip but Boston got really sick and as much as I love my little guy I draw the line at puke in my car so we waited til he was all better to drive home :) Basically, we haven't been home the past two months! I am so ready to have things slow down!

Anyways I have loads and loads of pictures{1587 to be exact!} from the past few months so I will try to post some of 'em soon! In the meantime, check out this handsome stud..
p.s. I am LOOOOOOVING my new camera!!
