Our day started off at 4:30am so we could get up to the starting line in time. Cole wasn't very happy with me because 6 weeks ago she had surgery(for carpal tunnel) and hasn't ran since and I still made her run with me. This picture says it all..
Me, Nicole, and my cousin Ashley before the race. (Cole and Ash ran the half) Way to go girls!! Me and Ash ran the first 4.5 miles together before our paths split. It was so fun! I was sad to split up.
And yes, Shannon, I wore the hideous Turkey Trot sweatshirt we got from our 5k! I wore it with pride! ha ha

This was after they blew the horn to start the race. It took us 5 mins to cross the starting line. There were SO many people it was crazy!!

Mile 14 and feelin' good!! Rob and my dad came and cheered me on at miles 10,14,19, and the finish line!! I totally needed it!! Rob brought me some watermelon so I stopped real quick to eat a few pieces. Never has watermelon tasted so good!

Back at it again. 12.2 miles to go!
Mile 19.. I hated my life right then! And seriously what is with people screaming out "you're almost there!" once you hit mile 20?! You still have 6 freakin' miles! It was NOT encouraging

Almost done!
Me and Cole with our medals

Me and the hub a.k.a. My biggest fan
My mom stayed home with Boston because he wouldn't have lasted very long waiting for me. When we got home, this was waiting for us..
It was a great weekend! I'm super sore but happy I did it and even happier I finished! Thanks fam for everything! xoxo
