One More

Boston is in the "One More" phase. Everything is one more. One more song. One more book. One more game. One more minute. You get the idea..

Bedtimes have become difficult because of this. He always wants one more story or song. I hate leaving his room with him sad, but he would stay up until midnight having us sing or tell stories. So each night we leave with him begging for one more. Usually once we are out the door he is fine.. he just puts on the dramatics until we shut the door.

The other night as Rob was leaving, Boston started to beg for one more story. Rob told him he loved him and it was time for bed and left. As he walked out the door, Boston started to cry. When Rob shut the door he stood there listening for a moment to see if Boston was going to calm down. He heard this..

"Heavenly Father,
Please help me to be happy.
Name of Jesus Christ, Amen"

How I love that sweet kid!

"How to Shave" by Boston Hartshorn

Step 1: Squirt a handful of shaving cream into your hands.

Step 2: Rub cream over your face to create a rich, luxurious lather.

Don't forget your neck.

Step 3: Shave.
Look at that focus!

Step 4: Rinse and say cheese.

Chunk

Mac is a chunk! How do I know this?

#1: Both boys at 2 months..

Ya, Mac is huge compared to Boston.

#2: Mac is as long as my friend's 8 month old. He seriously is so long!

#3: He still nurses every 2 1/2 hours. I've tried to stretch him longer but he's not havin' it!

#4: I met a lady at the store today with a boy who was born the day before Mac and Mac was twice as big as her kid. When she told me how old he was I just started laughing cuz Mac looked gigantic next to her baby.

and #5: He's been in 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers since he was 6 weeks old.

Chunky?...Yes!

A few random things about our chunky monkey..
He's such a sweetheart these days. He had a really rough first 9 weeks but woke up one day a new baby. At first I didn't want to believe it but it's been 2 weeks of him being great so I guess we're good now :) THANK YOU!

I'm still off dairy which kinda stinks. I'm having a much harder time this round with it but it's worth it to have a happy baby who doesn't bleed in his diaper.

He still hates his swing which baffles Rob and I. How could you not love a swing? We wish they made them in adult size haha

His eyes are still blue..really blue...like, Boston blue.. so I think we have another blue eyed kid on our hands. Where are these blue eyed babies coming from?

He has ultra-long eyelashes just like B.

He is very patient with Boston's constant "loving". {more like manhandling :) }

He loves to talk to us.

He has pretty impressive burps and toots. They're man sized. He sometimes burps so loud he startles himself!

He's a Momma's boy. When he gets himself really worked up that I'm the only who can bring him back down. I love it :)

He has the cutest "I'm doin' work" face..

He still sounds like a little bulldog. He's been stuffy nosed since day one.

He likes a good belly laugh every once in a while..

Overall he's a happy, content, chill, cuddly little guy unless he's hungry.. then watch out!

Some mornings I bring this little guy into bed with me to cuddle up and sleep for another hour or so. Unlike my other 2 boys, he is sooo cuddly. I love it!
There's something so peaceful about the rhythmic breathing of a sleeping baby. The little snorts and grunts they make are too cute. And don't even get me started on the baby smell! To say, "I smell my baby" sounds crazy, but you know every parent does it. They smell so yummy how could you not?! I love my cuddle bug.

Boston was never too cuddly. The boy just has too many wiggles in him that need to come out :) He has his moments of cuddliness that I always try to pounce on. Like today, in JCPenney when he asked me to hold him. So I walked around the store with the baby carrier in one arm, and my 39lb boy in the other. My arms were on fire (especially since I did p90x yesterday) but it was so worth it...He put his arms around my neck and laid his head on my shoulder! (that never happens by the way)

Boston's really been a sweetheart since Mac arrived. He's such a great big brother! I can tell it affects him a little bit that he isn't getting all of our attention anymore, but never once has he shown any anger towards Mac. Instead, he'll do something he's not supposed (like climb up on the back of the couch) and then ever-so-slyly say, "Hi Mom!". Or, like today, he'll ask for me to carry him, or feed him, or do something else for him that he can totally do on his own.

Tonight I was able to get Mac down 30 mins before Boston was supposed to go down. We cuddled up on the couch and read books together just me and him like the good old days. I'm hoping Mac will cooperate so that we can do that more often so that me and Boston have just us time each night.. without our new tag-a-long :)

Anyways.. didn't mean to ramble. I'll leave ya with a pic of Boston and his sweet play-doh stache..
