As hard as I have tried the last few years I can't seem to get Rob interested in my brilliant plan to change Mother's Day into Mother's Weekend. How awesome would that be?! 2 full days of pure relaxation! Maybe he's so resistant because I really take advantage of my day.. no cooking, no cleaning, no diapers, no getting Boston ready for bed, no dealing with tantrums, and I get a big long nap! Oh I can only imagine what I could do with 2 days like that!
So like I said Rob's very resistant to my idea but today when we ran out of diapers he gave in and took Boston with him to the store so that I could hop in a warm bath with a cold bowl of watermelon. It was wonderful! I'm hoping that over the next few years I can stretch that store run into a whole extra day of responsibility-lessness ;)
The boys decided that while they were at the store they needed to have Boston pick me out a Mother's Day gift. When they left, Boston was talking about getting me some gold dablooms (pirate money) so I'm very anxious to see what he got me!!! And apparently in their searching for my gift, Boston decided that he deserved a Mother's Day gift too so they picked him up a present. He was very excited to show me his "Mother's Day" present! I love that kid :)
Anyways... Happy Mother's day all you Moms out there!!! Especially my amazing Mom and my equally amazing mother-in-law! I love you both VERY much!!!!!
And thanks to this little dude for making me a Mommy.. I love ya kiddo!
