Last week was Boston's birthday!!!! I can't believe my baby boy is already
ONE YEARS OLD!
On his special day, his cousins and some good family friends came over for cake. Here we're all singing "Happy Birthday" to him. I love his face! We've had a few different parties for him- one with my fam and one with Rob's mom- and every time we have sung to him he gets this same exact look!

Boston is allergic to dairy (we're hoping he'll outgrow it soon) so I made my first ever dairy-free cake! It actually wasn't too bad! It had the consistency and taste of cornbread. The dairy free frosting didn't turn out too creamy so combine that with a still warm cake-I was running behind- and the frosting was dripping off the cake completely! It didn't look too pretty but Boston didn't mind! I made the rest of us a double-decker chocolate cake..Yum!!

If you've been following my blog you know how much fun Boston has when eating. He LOVES to make a total mess of himself!!! What's funny is that he was very hesitant to touch his cake at first. We had to make him touch it and he was totally confused by it.
He almost looks disgusted by it in this one!
But as soon as we gave him a few tastes of the frosting, it was all over!
It took much longer than I anticipated for the mess to make it to the forehead but it got there! haha Good job Stick-oo! And I'm so proud of him that he didn't try even once to take off the hat! What a big boy!
His post birthday cake bath! First bath as a one year old!!! Yay!
After the bath we hung out and the kiddos played for a bit. The initial plan was for all of us to go to the carnival that is by our house right now but they decided not to go. Mason was in the hospital over the weekend and they were anxious to get back to him and Kerry.
So we bundled Boston up in his pj's-less exposed skin for nasty carnival germs! YUCK!- and off we went.
We only ended up going on two rides(the rest didn't look too safe) the carousal and the potato sack slide.
I love these two guys!
We went on the slide like 6 times at 3 tickets(3 bucks) a pop...Ouch! Boston LOVED it! His eyes would get huge when we went down! I thought it was pretty fun too! If I didn't have a kid I'd still ride it!
When Rob took Boss down he got bookin'!!! There are three bumps and on the last bump he got some awesome air! They have carpet at the bottom to stop you, even though most people stop way before it but Rob got to the carpet and still didn't stop! He had to reach out and stop himself ha ha
My tired birthday boy
We got home a little past Boston's 7:30 bedtime and threw him in another tub. TWO tubs on his birthday! What a lucky duck! Boston LOVES his baths and got so excited when he realized he was gonna get another one! After that it was his bedtime bo-bo, a cuddle with daddy, and my little prince drifted off to sleep. What a fun day!
Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!! We love you SO much!
